Cordero a la naranja y miel con patatas al romero - Lamb orange and honey with rosemary potatoes. (Esp - Eng)


El cordero al horno es un manjar que inunda el paladar de un sabor exquisito, no precisa de mucho aderezo para ser un plato estrella, pero si queremos variar su sabor y elevarlo a los paladares más finos, resulta delicioso el Cordero a la naranja y miel con patatas al romero, toma nota.

Los ingredientes
1 paletilla (o pierna) de cordero, 1 naranja, 3 cucharadas de postre de miel de romero, 200 mililitros de vino blanco, 1 cuchara de bayas de pimienta negra, ½ kilo de patatas, 1 cebolla grande, 4 dientes de ajo, 1 ramita de romero, pimienta negra molida, aceite de oliva y sal.

La preparación
Pon el horno a calentar a 180º C. Unta la bandeja del horno con aceite de oliva y también la paletilla de cordero, sazona con pimienta negra molida y sal.

Pela las patatas y córtalas en rodajas, también las cebollas y pela y machaca los ajos. Introduce todo en una fuente de horno, espolvorea sal, el romero, riega con aceite y mezcla bien.

Cuando el horno haya cogido la temperatura adecuada introduce la bandeja con el cordero a altura media en el horno y un poco más abajo la fuente con las patatas.

Ralla la piel de la naranja y deposítala en un bol, exprime la naranja y agrega el zumo al bol junto al vino, la miel y las bayas de pimienta negra.

Pasados 20 minutos de la introducción del cordero en el horno, al que habrás dado la vuelta ya una vez, riega con el jugo de naranja preparado y deja cocer unos 40 minutos más dando la vuelta de vez en cuando y regando con el jugo.

Cuando las patatas estén cocidas y ligeramente doradas y el cordero sutilmente caramelizado y tostado, sirve los platos y prepárate para chuparte los dedos.

La degustación
